Mujeeb has played for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL and Brisbane Heat in the BBL.

Apart from his bowling skills, Mujeeb is also a handy lower-order batsman. He has played some important innings for Afghanistan in limited-overs cricket. In 2019, he played a crucial knock of 15 not out in the final of the T20I tri-series in Bangladesh, helping Afghanistan to win their first-ever T20I series against a full-member nation.

Mujeeb has been a valuable asset for Afghanistan in all formats of the game. He has played 16 Tests, 45 ODIs, and 36 T20Is for Afghanistan so far. In addition to his on-field success, Mujeeb has also faced many challenges off the field. He had to leave his family and travel to Pakistan at the age of 14 to pursue his cricketing dreams. He also had to overcome health issues, including a spinal injury, to make a comeback to cricket.
